As Google was gearing up for the annual I/O conference, they knew that an influx of applications would be coming their way. Excited to work with innovators, they wanted to make sure they were attracting the right applicants by using the right tone and look on their social media assets.
Joystick pitched a variety of concepts and collectively we landed on one; clean, eye catching, and modern that was consistent with the I/O brand. Joystick created a variety of social assets for the campaign.
Google was excited at the high quality of applicants they received and noted that it greatly exceeded the previous year.
Following the success of Google’s I/O campaign, Joystick has continued to create engaging social content for Life at Google’s many hiring initiatives. Whether Google is targeting recent graduates, skilled developers, or convention attendees, Joystick consistently comes up with new ideas and materials to attract the appropriate applicants.
As we continue to work with Google’s team, we perform regular focus groups to determine what makes a developer not only Like a post, but also act on the post (in this case, apply for a job at Google)? How does Google get a student to Share a post with his/her followers?
